At The Takahata-fudo Temple Gozare-ichi market, I met my friend Takeo (leading expert on antique kimono fabrics and doll collector) in an argument over this beautiful kimono.  He saw it on my lap and wanted it; I won the argument but gained a lifelong friend.  This is an Edo period antique furisode kimono that has been cleaned and a red sash attached.  It is a beauty and should be an art display in someone’s home.
